BC Women’s Health Foundation’s Glow Gala brings together 500 community, corporate, and healthcare leaders for a fun and memorable evening in support of improving women’s and newborn health in BC.
The 2024 gala included: a captivating reception, exciting auctions and raffle, incredible live auction, delectable three-course dinner, and fun after party—all with great music, and delightful drinks and entertainment throughout.
Fund-A-Need
The Glow Gala Fund-A-Need directly benefitted the BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the only quaternary care NICU in the province. The BCWH NICU is the largest in Canada, caring for up to 1200 vulnerable and critically ill newborns each year.

The Women’s Health Champion is awarded to an individual, family or organization who is dedicated to advancing women’s health and contributed to transforming healthcare for women. They have inspired the community to ensure all women at all life stages have access to the highest quality healthcare when, where, and how they need it.
This year, we were thrilled to recognize The Auxiliary to BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre with this award.

Established in 1941, this dedicated volunteer group has been a steadfast supporter of BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre (formerly Grace Hospital) for over 80 years. The Auxiliary has played a significant role in enhancing the healthcare experience, advocating for the quality care of women and newborns, and offering opportunities for community members to contribute and make a meaningful impact. Through their fundraising events and efforts in establishing and running the BC Women’s Mobile Gift Cart and ‘Still Fabulous’ thrift stores, these remarkable volunteers have raised over $3.3 million for vital programs, research and services at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre and Women’s Health Research Institute. As one of the first major donors to the BC Women’s Health Foundation, their contributions have created a lasting legacy for women’s and newborn health in British Columbia. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering dedication.
