Building off the record fundraising success of the 2017 tournament, BC Women’s Hospital Foundation is elated to share that Air Canada and a full field of philanthropically-minded golfers, alongside the generous support of numerous corporate sponsors and donors, that the 2018 version of the annual tournament raised the bar yet again in generating an astonishing $494,000 in support of BC Women’s Hospital.
“To remain a global leader in delivering the cutting-edge medical supports the women and newborns of BC deserve, we must be vigilant in continuing to invest in its upkeep and fuelling its trailblazing advancements which set the gold standard for women’s healthcare worldwide,” Genesa M. Greening, President + CEO of BC Women’s Hospital Foundation said.
“Once again, we find Air Canada out in front, leading that charge and doing its part to ensure that women and newborns get timely access to the best healthcare available, when, where and how they need it.”
Together with Air Canada representatives from coast-to-coast and a field of golfers which included business leaders, current and former NHL stars and Canada’s own four-time PGA Tour Champion, Stephen Ames, the day was a remarkable success.

“Our collective efforts have resulted in a record amount raised, and this will help BC Women’s Hospital continue their important work helping vulnerable newborns and giving their families the peace of mind that world class care is right here in our province.”
With help from emcee and co-anchor of CTV Morning Live in Vancouver, Jason Pires, and an astonishing assortment of luxury auction items including Air Canada flights and accommodations in London, Hawaii, and Palm Springs, funds raised will help support the more than 7,400 newborns born annually at BC Women’s by investing in the world-class physicians, technology and care BC families need.
