We’re going from “how’re you holding up” to “who are you holding up”.

Welcome to the Changemaker’s Market, a digital community of movers and makers who have generously donated their goods and services to benefit the BC Women’s Health Foundation.

We asked our Changemakers a few questions, including our supporter, BlueShore Financial, a local organization that has contributed a match donation of up to $15,000.

“Ensuring the strength and vibrancy of our communities is a cornerstone of BlueShore’s values. Now more than ever, we need to band together to protect the health and well-being of our community members and our local businesses.”

We did a Q+A with Armita S. Alikhani, BlueShore Financial’s AVP of Strategic Planning and Corporate Affairs

One word to describe you/your brand’s legacy.

Wellness. BlueShore Financial is committed to the overall well-being of our clients, employees and communities. With the primary focus being financial wellness. From financial seminars to half marathons to charitable fundraisers, BlueShore helps promote wellness in many forms.

Why did you choose to donate to the Changemaker’s Market?

The Changemaker’s Market celebrates women-led businesses, entrepreneurs, and artists across BC. Many local businesses have been adversely affected by COVID-19. At BlueShore we are committed to supporting the incredible small businesses community in our province and providing the best financial solutions to help them build and grow their business.

Why does women’s health matter to you?

Women make up a critical and dynamic part of BlueShore’s workforce, clientele and our communities. Women’s health and well-being go hand in hand with our society’s well-being. It’s therefore imperative that women have equitable access to the highest quality research and healthcare.

What inspires you most about giving back to your community?

I believe when our communities are thriving, so are we. I am deeply motivated by making a positive impact and believe we can each do this in varying capacities, whether it be by paying forward a good deed, volunteering our time, or making a financial contribution.

What’s your unique mission with your products/services?

As a local full service financial institution, BlueShore strives to provide our clients with the expert financial advice and services they need. We take the time to get to know our clients, to discover what they need today and their future aspirations and help them achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.

What’s the first thing you’ll do post-social distancing/isolation?

Get together in person with my family, friends and colleagues and simply be together and enjoy the connection and laughter.
