“As a former patient at BC Women’s Hospital, I came to recognize that my experience was not the same as everywhere else’s due to economic circumstances,” says Jennifer Randall Nelson. “As a Foundation Board member, I want to ensure that every woman in BC can access the healthcare they need in the community they reside, when they need it.”
“I believe that in modelling my commitment in terms of both time and funding, that I can fully participate in broader conversations to stimulate new support.”
Inspired by the passion and support of our community, each and every member of the BC Women’s Health Foundation’s Board of Directors have joined together to donate $100,000 to support the Foundation’s COVID-19 Funds.
“Being on the Board is an honour, one that I take seriously,” says Jennifer. “I am proud to contribute my time and expertise, but also recognize it’s important to contribute financially. Doing so allows me to demonstrate to others that I am invested in what the future of women’s healthcare looks like.”
“I believe that we all have women in our lives that we care about and love very deeply. Our daughters, our sisters, our aunts, our grandmas, or our moms, their well-being is central to the health of our communities.”
As the Foundation prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary, our Board of Directors is reigniting their passion with 100% commitment, 100% dedication, and $100,000 to help ensure women have equitable access to the highest quality, specialized healthcare, when they need it most.
“Our households, our neighborhoods, our economy, our entire social fabric relies on women being healthy, and when we’re not, we all suffer as a province.”
“I believe the best way to support our communities and the women we love is to ensure that their healthcare needs are met,” says Jennifer. “By supporting BC Women’s Health Foundation, each of us can invest in the research, healthcare, and technology that make our province healthier and stronger.”
Thank you to all our donors, supporters, and volunteers for your
passion and generosity to advancing the full spectrum of women’s health.
